How to Check Your Personal Loan Application Status Online
NeerCred Team · 8/30/2026
Once you've submitted a personal loan application, it moves through a series of stages before reaching a final decision - knowing what these are makes it easier to understand what "status" actually means at any given point.
Typical stages an application goes through
- Submitted - your application and documents have been received
- Under review - the lender is verifying your details, income, and credit profile
- Approved / offer ready - the lender has approved the loan and shared the terms (interest rate, amount, tenure) for you to review
- Accepted - you've reviewed and accepted the offer
- Disbursed - the loan amount has been credited to your bank account
Not every application passes through every stage in a straight line - some are declined at the review stage, and some offers expire if not accepted within the window the lender gives.
Where to check your status
If you applied through a digital lending marketplace or aggregator, your status is usually visible in your account dashboard on that platform, updated as the underlying lender's system reports a change. If you applied directly with a bank or NBFC, their own net banking, mobile app, or application-tracking page typically shows the same information.
What to do if the status hasn't changed in a while
A status that hasn't moved for an unusually long time is worth following up on directly with the lender (or the platform you applied through) - it can simply mean additional verification is pending, but it's better to confirm than to assume.
Keeping your contact details and documents up to date from the start reduces the chances of a status getting stuck on a verification step that a quick follow-up could otherwise resolve.
